Yes, both the MagDock™ Chug Cap and MagSlider™ Straw Cap are leakproof when closed.
Can I use the Silo™ Jug 40 oz and 1/2 Gallon for hot and cold drinks?
Silo™ Jugs are not intended for use with hot beverages. Use with cold or room temperature drinks only.
Can I use the Silo™ Jug 40 oz and 1/2 Gallon for perishable drinks, carbonated drinks, or dairy
No, do not use the Silo™ Jugs with carbonated beverages or as storage for food or perishables, like dairy.
Which lid comes standard with the Silo™ Jug 40 oz and 1/2 Gallon?
The 40 oz. comes standard with the MagSlider™ Straw Cap. The ½ Gallon is offered with either the MagSlider™ Straw Cap and MagDock™ Chug Cap. Both Caps are compatible with both Jug sizes.
Are the Silo™ Jug 40 oz and 1/2 Gallon lids sold separately so I can get both kinds?
No.
Are the Silo™ Jug 40 oz and 1/2 Gallon lids compatible with any other YETI® products?
MagDock™ Chug and MagSlider™ Straw Caps are only compatible with the Silo™ Jug.

Yes, all Silo™ Jugs and components are dishwasher safe.
